“Our research shows consumers are often left confused by a bewildering array of labels for ethical financial products and amid concerns about “greenwashing” in the financial industry, it is good to see the government taking steps to put a stop to these practices.
“Businesses must be clear and transparent about their environmental claims so that people can trust the information they see and make informed decisions. We expect all businesses to take heed of the final guidance, otherwise the regulator must be prepared to step in.”
