Alex Hayman, Which? Managing Director of Public Markets, said:
“How long will the Government allow this national scandal to continue before it steps in to fix this train pain for passengers?
“With more timetable changes at the end of the year, we need reassurances that this avoidable disruption won’t be repeated.
“As well as an inquiry, the Government must look to introduce automatic compensation so that customers are guaranteed the money they are owed for having to endure such shambolic services.”
