‘Consumer issues must be central to the Brexit negotiations not an afterthought’ – Which? response to Brexit White Paper

Vickie Sheriff, Director of Campaigns and Communications at Which?, said:

“It is deeply concerning that consumers appear almost irrelevant in the Government’s plans for the Brexit negotiations. UK consumers spend £100 billion a month so maintaining consumer confidence and spending power is essential. We cannot afford consumer issues to be ignored and critical issues such as maintaining hard fought consumer rights, product safety and quality standards and how they will be enforced to be overlooked. The Government must urgently set out how consumer issues will be prioritised in the Brexit negotiations.”
