Which? Mortgage Advisers recognised for entrepreneurialism

Which? Mortgage Advisers (W?MA) received the People’s Choice Award at the fourth annual Corporate Entrepreneur Awards held last night (October 23) at the Design Museum in London.

The event, sponsored by technology magazine Wired and design consultancy Market Gravity, recognised innovation and agility across a number of sectors and Which? was lauded for responding to consumers’ need for trusted and impartial advice by forming its own mortgage advice subsidiary.

Other award winners on the night included BT Sport, Telefonica, Dyson and Raspberry Pi.

Barney McCarthy from Which? Mortgage Advisers said: “Receiving this recognition is a testament to Which?’s ability to identify areas where consumers need assistance and to positively effect change. Our innovative approach and consumer-focused ethos has enabled us to help thousands of homeowners find the right mortgage and all the profits we make go back into the campaigning work we do for all consumers.”

Peter Sayburn, MD at Market Gravity, commented: “Which? Mortgage Advisers was clearly a very popular choice. The business resonated with this group of big company innovators and on a personal level with everyone who has struggled to get genuinely independent financial advice.”
