‘Businesses must do the right thing, otherwise consumers will vote with their feet,’ says Which?

Which? comments ahead of the new law that bans credit and debit card surcharges from Saturday 13th January.

“Consumers will be outraged if businesses simply respond to this ban by introducing different additional fees instead.

“This law was intended to stop people facing unclear add-on charges. We now expect businesses to do the right thing, otherwise consumers will vote with their feet and take their business elsewhere.”
