“Consumers should receive the holiday they paid for” – Which? response to reports of holiday sickness bugs abroad

A Which? spokesperson said:

“Holidaymakers can claim medical expenses under their travel insurance if an illness has ruined their holiday. However, the Package Travel Regulations also ensure that consumers should receive the holiday they paid for. Consumers may be entitled to claim compensation from their holiday company due to loss of enjoyment and/or personal injury where the holiday company or its suppliers are at fault. If you have been affected by a holiday hassle we want to hear about it, so we can expose the dodgy deals and shoddy service to stop the holiday hassles
