“We are pleased that the Government has finally acknowledged that emissions are much higher in real world testing than they are in the lab. Drivers will be shocked by these findings as emissions and fuel claims are important factors when buying a new car.
“The current tests are not fit-for-purpose and we now urgently need to see what action will be taken by the Government against the VW Group.”
