“Far too many people are still languishing on expensive standard energy tariffs.” – Which? response to latest Ofgem data on levels of switching in gas and electricity.
Which? executive director, Richard Lloyd, said:
“It’s good to see the number of people switching their gas and electricity provider on the rise. However, far too many people are still languishing on expensive standard tariffs and could be getting a better deal elsewhere. The CMA needs to use its’ energy market enquiry to fix this broken market and make many more people feel confident to switch and save.”
- According to Ofgem figures out today, 12.2% of electricity customers are changing provider; and 13.1% of gas customers are switching provider
