“In the age of smart phones and online booking it is ridiculous that we are still carrying paper tickets for train travel. The pace of change to deliver smart ticketing has simply been too slow and we welcome the Minister’s call for faster delivery.
“With smart ticketing it will be much simpler to ensure compensation for delays are paid automatically, with consumers getting more tailored information on delays, disruption and crowding.”
