“Providers need to up their game” – Which? response to Ofcom’s latest broadband complaints data
Alex Neill, Which? Managing Director of Home and Legal Services, said:
“Too many people aren’t getting good enough service from their broadband provider and some of the biggest brands are the most complained about.
“Providers need to up their game and the Government and regulator should press ahead with plans that mean people get automatic compensation when things go wrong.”
Notes to eds
- Recent research from Which? found that nine in 10 people think a broadband connection is essential to their everyday life alongside other essentials such as food, housing and utilities like water and energy.
- The results, taken from a representative survey of over 2,000 people, revealed that housing, energy, food and running water were the only services that people ranked as more essential than broadband.
