“This could help challenge the dominance of the biggest banks” – Which? response to the Payment System Regulator policy statement
Which? executive director, Richard Lloyd said:
“We welcome the new regulator’s focus on improving the payment systems that every consumer relies on to access their cash. This could help challenge the dominance of the biggest banks and to foster competition and innovation, so that new banks and new services can compete fairly.
“If we are to see real change, we now need to see the regulator work quickly to put consumers at the heart of these systems.”
