Rocio Concha, Which? Director of Policy and Advocacy, said:
“These findings echo Which?’s research that found many consumers are feeling the pinch during the cost of living crisis. Nearly six in 10 households in our recent survey said they had to make an adjustment – such as cutting back on essentials or dipping into savings – to cover essential spending in the last month.
“With the number of people struggling to make ends meet only likely to grow as the cost of living crisis develops, the government must ensure that help continues to reach the most financially vulnerable as quickly as possible.
“Businesses in essential sectors, such as supermarkets, energy and telecoms, must also do everything they can to help consumers find the best value deal and offer support to any customers who are struggling financially.”
