Which? comments as FCA publishes final PPI report
Adam French, Which? Consumer Rights Expert, said:
“The PPI scandal drew to a close last year as millions rushed to submit claims before the August deadline, and while many clearly were prompted to take action, we’ll never know just how many people were mis-sold PPI and never get the money back they were owed.
“Banks had more than enough time to prepare for the inevitable influx of claims ahead of the deadline, but the fact that nearly a year later there are thousands of people still waiting for a response to their claims sums up how badly the industry has handled the sorry saga from start to finish.”
