Gareth Shaw, Head of Money at Which?, said:
“Buying a home is a major life event, and anyone navigating the already complicated process amid the coronavirus crisis is likely to be having a hugely stressful time.
“It is vital that home movers are afforded flexibility by all involved in the home buying process from agents to lenders and solicitors. Those who have already exchanged contracts should be able to amend their contract to account for the coronavirus disruption and allow extra time to complete on the purchase.”
