“The decision to delay restarting Jet2 flights until mid-July will be a relief to passengers who are now entitled to a refund for flights before July 15th. The airline has done better than its competitors in refunding customers, and it must continue to make sure those who request a cash refund receive their money back within a reasonable time frame.
“The travel industry has endured a turbulent few months and consumers’ trust in the sector has plummeted. The government must step in to support travel firms and airlines where necessary, to avoid permanent damage in this sector.”
