“Switching remains the best way for customers to save money on energy bills, but it is not always straightforward, so it is right that the regulator is extending compensation rights for consumers when things go wrong.
“With record numbers of people switching, this should also incentivise suppliers to get it right the first time, improve their customer service and encourage consumers to engage with a process that could save them hundreds of pounds per year.”
