Which? comments as US-UK trade talks begin
Sue Davies, Head of Consumer Protection and Food Policy at Which, said:
“There are huge potential benefits to be gained for the UK from a trade deal with the US, however its success will be judged on the impact it has on the price, choice and safety of products and services we use every day.
“As negotiations begin, the government must make good on its commitment to maintain the UK’s high standards and consumer protections – which means no agreement that could allow food or goods produced to inferior standards to enter the UK and no dilution of core consumer rights.”
