Which? comments on Action Fraud figures on pet scams

Adam French, Which? Consumer Rights Expert, said:

“Scammers have hit a new low with this latest appalling tactic to exploit consumers during the coronavirus crisis, which has created the perfect breeding ground for fraudsters to operate.

“We’d advise consumers to always be cautious when shopping online, especially as fraudsters seek to exploit the coronavirus crisis using any means possible. Make sure you do your research and steer clear if you have any doubts about a seller.”
