Which? comments on Amazon blocking 10 billion fraudulent listings in 2020

Rocio Concha, Director of Policy and Advocacy at Which?, said:

“It’s good to see Amazon taking action to block fraudulent listings and seize counterfeit products, but it’s vitally important for all online marketplaces to have greater legal responsibility to prevent, identify and remove fake and fraudulent content on their sites.

“The government should make sure consumers have the right protections when shopping online, as people should be able to trust that the product listings they see on online marketplaces are legitimate.”
