Which? comments on Financial Ombudsman Service PPI complaints data

Adam French, Which? Consumer Right Expert, said:

“Thousands of people are still waiting for a response to PPI claims submitted months ago, and it is clear from the significant number of complaints referred to the ombudsman that banks are not doing enough to resolve claims.

“While the ombudsman provides a safety net for anyone unhappy with their PPI ruling, banks must be doing everything they can to resolve complaints effectively and minimise delays for customers.”
