Which? Mortgage Advisers response to Council of Mortgage Lender figures

Mike Lawton, Managing Director of Which? Mortgage Advisers, said:

“These figures represent an encouraging increase in the level of mortgage lending, but it’s worth remembering we are still recovering from years of relatively low activity.

“The situation has improved for first-time buyers but it’s still tough out there for potential homeowners and it is important they don’t overstretch themselves so people should always seek independent advice to find the right mortgage for their circumstances.”
