Adam French, Which? Consumer Rights Expert, said:
“It’s right that Viagogo has finally been forced to clean up its act, but it has taken years and lengthy legal action to secure these improvements – demonstrating why the CMA must be given wider powers to quickly take firm action against companies that are willing to disregard consumer law.
“Viagogo had a long track record of ripping off music and sports fans so it is vital for the regulator to keep a watchful eye – and be ready to step in and take strong action if necessary – to ensure it does not step out of line again.”
