“Some banks are clearly falling well short of their responsibility to properly inform and engage with their customers ahead of bank branch closures, meaning hundreds of branches could have closed without communities ever having received the appropriate warnings and consultation at all.
“We recently revealed that 60 branches across the UK are closing every month, stripping communities of access to vital financial services. So banks really must do more to properly engage with these communities to understand the impact before simply shutting their doors – and their customers out.”
