Which? responds to research showing one in five 18 – 25 year-olds have experienced holiday scams or know someone who has

Rory Boland, Which? Travel Editor, said:

“Which? warned consumers to be on high alert for holiday scams earlier this year as it was clear criminals were taking advantage of international travel opening up again.

“Our advice is to be wary of unsolicited calls and messages, and be especially cautious of holiday deals from unfamiliar firms.

“If you think you’ve been the victim of a scam, you should report this to Action Fraud and your bank. Anyone who is struggling to get their money back from their bank should contact the Financial Ombudsman Service to review their case.”
