Which? responds to the news wedding guest numbers in Wales will be determined by the venue

“The decision to lift restrictions on guest numbers for weddings and allow venues to assess how many people can be safely accommodated will be a relief for many couples. However, the plans of some may need to change – potentially significantly – if social distancing limits the number of guests due to attend.

“In some cases, this could still result in having to postpone or cancel the event entirely. Although many venues are facing financial difficulty, they should ensure they follow the rules set out by the regulator on partial and full refunds in these circumstances, so that couples are not forced to shoulder the full cost of the event being cancelled or made significantly smaller.”
