Which? response as CMA finds merger of Viagogo and StubHub raises competition concerns

Adam French, Which? Consumer Rights Expert, said:

“We’ve previously found evidence of Viagogo ripping off customers and flouting the law and now the regulator has raised concerns about a merger with StubHub that would see the two companies tightening their grip on the industry – and could account for as many as nine in every 10 tickets sold in the secondary market.

“It is vital that the regulator continues to closely examine the impact this could have on competition in the sector and does not allow it to go ahead if consumers will lose out.”
