Which? response as CMA requires Groupon to improve its treatment of customers

Adam French, Which? Consumer Rights Expert, said:

“Which? has previously uncovered problems with misleading Groupon deals, so it’s good to see the Competition and Markets Authority taking action to tackle the company’s poor treatment of its customers.

“Groupon must now step up and do the right thing by its customers and if it fails to do so, the regulator should not hesitate to take legal action.

“Consumers should remember that if they are struggling to get a refund and paid more than £100 by credit card, they can try to claim a refund under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act or using chargeback rules if they paid on a debit card.”
