Which? response as EU unveils Digital Services and Digital Markets Acts

Rocio Concha, Director of Policy and Advocacy at Which?, said:

“The tech giants have too often left consumers variously exposed to scams, dangerous products and fake reviews online with little fear of the consequences, so this latest move by the EU is a big step in the right direction that should see platforms having to do more to protect their users.

“With the Brexit transition period ending imminently, the government must seize the opportunity to take similar action to ensure UK consumers aren’t left behind by the rest of Europe and will have the right protections online in the years to come.”
