Which? response as Treasury Committee presses tech giants further on economic crime

Rocio Concha, Which? Director of Policy and Advocacy, said:

“Consumers are being exposed every day to scams which can have a devastating financial and emotional impact on victims – so it’s right that MPs continue to press the world’s biggest tech companies on why they are falling short in providing adequate solutions to protect their users.

“The government cannot delay taking action any longer. The draft Online Safety Bill must be amended so that online platforms are required to prevent fraudulent paid-for adverts from appearing on their sites.”
