Which? response to Age UK announcement on access to cash

Gareth Shaw, Head of Money at Which?, said:

“It’s vital that the millions of people with no choice but to rely on cash are not abandoned during this crisis, and more needs to be done by the industry to ensure that these consumers are provided with the support they need to pay for essential goods and services.

“The government committed to legislation to ensure consumers have access to cash for as long as they need it. However, that access is disappearing rapidly so urgent action must be taken to secure it before it’s too late.”
