Which? response to ban on pensions cold-calling

Jenni Allen, Managing Director, Which? Money, said:

“This new law is an important step forward against criminals who attempt to scam people out of their hard-earned pensions.

“Whilst this is a step in the right direction, it won’t deter all scammers. Our advice is to remain vigilant: no legitimate pension or investment firm will ever call you out of the blue to discuss releasing cash from your pension. If you get a call like this, the message is clear – you should hang up the phone.”
