Which? response to Department for Transport latest stats on overcrowded trains

Alex Hayman, Which? Managing Director of Public Markets, said:

“This data bears out once again that the rail sector continues to fail passengers on too frequent a basis, particularly in London and in the Southeast. It is unacceptable that so many have to battle with constant delays and daily overcrowding.

“The Government needs to quickly ensure that passengers get a much better standard of service. Trust can only begin to be restored by introducing an ombudsman that all operators must join and a stronger regulator that stands up for passengers.”
