Which? response to new rail watchdog the Office of Rail Passenger Services

Which? executive director, Richard Lloyd said:

“We recently found shockingly low levels of consumer satisfaction with many of the train companies, so we’re pleased there will be a new watchdog to put passengers first. We hope this leads to a much better service for rail users and that the views of passengers will be at the top of the agenda when new franchises are being handed out.”

Notes to Editors

Which? is encouraging passengers to share their experience of rail journeys at www.which.co.uk/trains to build a picture of the problems they face. We will then present each train company with a dossier of consumers’ complaints. Our site also has free information on passenger rights and what compensation is available for delayed or cancelled journeys: www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/action/how-to-claim-refunds-for-train-delays-and-cancellations
