Which? response to Ofcom’s superfast broadband proposals

In response to Ofcom’s proposals on superfast broadband, Which? executive director, Richard Lloyd, said:

“We welcome Ofcom’s proposals to promote competition between superfast broadband suppliers as this should reduce the cost of switching but it’s important this benefit is passed on to consumers.

“Introducing shorter term contracts will allow millions of people to switch providers and take advantage of faster broadband connections without being locked into lengthy contracts.

“Consumers have long complained about poor service from broadband engineers, so it is good to see that the proposals require service standards to be met and Openreach being held to account for its performance.”
