Which? response to the BMJ’s report on salt reduction

A Which? spokesperson said:

“While we welcomed the Government’s recent announcement that they will be setting new salt reduction targets, they should also name and shame companies which don’t meet those targets and be prepared to legislate if voluntary action fails.

“Wider use of traffic light labelling by food manufacturers as well as retailers is also needed, so that people can easily see the levels of salt they are eating.”
