Which? response to train delay and cancellations compensation

Alex Hayman, Which? Managing Director of Public Markets, said: 

“Train customers will rightly be questioning why rail companies are automatically receiving large amounts of compensation when it’s often so difficult to get the money they are entitled to when faced with disruption. 
“Rail companies need to make claims for compensation as simple and straightforward as possible for affected passengers. Automatic compensation must be introduced across the industry so that people can get the money they are owed.”
